Hell hath frozen over

Because for once I think Obama did a great job.

A lot of people are criticizing the president over the Syrian conflict and they state that he has no nerve and he will not do what “American needs to do” as if bombing some despot in a third world is what America should be doing.  Now granted, doing nothing like he has is sometimes the best course of action.  And in so doing nothing, the president has accomplished the following:

Obama’s science comes from a NAZI

H/T PhilinCalifornia for the idea

Yep, its proven that when Obama stated this in his climate change speech on June 23rd:

So the question is not whether we need to act.  The overwhelming judgment of science — of chemistry and physics and millions of measurements — has put all that to rest.  Ninety-seven percent of scientists, including, by the way, some who originally disputed the data, have now put that to rest.  They’ve acknowledged the planet is warming and human activity is contributing to it.

That 97% number he used comes from the paper written by John Cook of Skeptical Science.  I guess I could point out how Cook is not a scientist, but rather a cartoonist, but why waste the fun in seeing who the president of the US listens to on science matters.  Recently, we found out that the owner of that blog, John Cook Photoshops himself and his friends into NAZI portraits for fun.  The first picture of Cook himself is here:

1_herrcook

It’s not a bad picture I guess if you enjoy dressing yourself up as a NAZI.  But maybe photo-shopping your picture on top of an old nazi uniform does not make you a NAZI.  Perhaps in some bizarre creepy fashion show they thought it was funny.  Always a possibility, but as of yet we have not heard why they thought this was a good idea, or any justification for that matter,   I am not going to state flat-out that we know what Cook is,  but the picture HE had on his website originally does show him in a NAZI uniform.  What are we supposed to assume by this if he remains silent?

I am just baffled that anyone would take advice on science from someone like that I guess.  In other words, the leader of the free world takes his advice from a cartoonist from Australia who thinks its fun to photo-shop his picture on top of an old NAZI picture?  The more you read into the science of global warming, the more bizarre it gets.  I expect loads of more fun as the current stasis of our climate system continues.

Happy Fourth Of July

It is pretty exciting to see modern events happening in real-time.  I really especially enjoyed the recent news and how the press had cameras on the marches and the crowds.  We got to basically feel the energy and the determination of both sides which is undoubtably one of the only benefits to 24/7 media.  And the witness of a momentous event that was almost completely blood-less was something of a wonder.  This is not to say these kind of events are to be necessarily wanted, but namely that when they do happen its nice to have a front-row seat so to speak.  Perhaps this kind of scrutiny drives people to find peaceful methods to their operation as well?  With the entire world watching, its difficult to pull things off that both sides might have attempted if the scrutiny had not been applied.  As I type this blog report up on the Fourth Of July, I can not but help but wonder if events came together just for our holiday celebrating freedom?  It’s a nice sentiment anyway.

And that is how the cookie crumbles

Today in a speech viewed all across the world, the president has unveiled his plan to solve the largest crisis to face our children ever.  This momentous crisis of course is the problem of cookie crumbling.  When appealing to his fan-base of first graders, he made it will known that he will not tolerate discussion or even debate.  As he states:

So today, for the sake of our children, and the health and safety of all
Americans, I’m directing the Environmental Protection Agency to put an end to
the limitless dumping of cookies from our power plants, and complete
new pollution standards for both new and existing power plants.  (Applause.)

The statement was a resounding success as the auditorium of first graders loved it.  More cookies for all!  All children know that more is better as this commercial shows:

And so his statement that we need to stop the limit-less pollution of cookies and save those cookies for the first graders was a resounding success.

The next Four Years

Most people have reconciled with the fact that Obama will be president for the next four years.  Obama is of course a raging narcissistic person where we can see it from his reactions to criticism in the debates with Romney (the rage) or the constant manipulation and lies he tells.  The largest question right now is, wow do we deal with this as a country?  It’s not going to be the end of the world as some claim, but knowing what is going to happen can help us all out.  Obama as a rule is going to stick to his initial thoughts on things.  Narcissistic people do not change their minds for rational reasons and will stick to a course no matter how illogical it is.  In the end, a narcissistic person does not reason at all and thinks the world revolves around himself or herself.  In this sense, we can expect more of the same.  Things won’t get worse as some people believe, but they won’t get any better in that sense.  Obama will continue to pile on the liberal agenda which he believes will save the country.  But he will do it slowly and sporadically as before.  A narcissistic above all else is arbitrary on what they do and say.  I am not sure exactly which part of the agenda he will focus on primarily to start or what will be done later because frankly a narcissistic person is not rational and will do what they want to do based on rather abstract reasoning that no one could ever hope to understand.  The truest way to deal with a narcissistic person is just to ignore them, but unfortunately in this case we have no choice as the president can not be ignored.

The cost of getting rid of Coal

As I covered in a previous entry, coal plants are being retired quickly and before the time they should normally have.  The Demise of Coal

This early retirement system is of course an application of the broken window fallacy where we instead of using the coal plants for as long as possible until they are indeed “broken” we keep breaking them ourselves by forcing the cost of coal plants to ““necessarily skyrocket” and to artificially game the markets in other words to excel those sources of power which the president likes.  This form of cronyism is going to have a huge impact on American’s especially those who are poor or in the middle class.  In other words, everyone is going to pay for the policies enacted by our current president.

The US Department of Justice at it again.

In conjunction with the UK police, our own DOJ headed by the president (where all responsibility of some sort must rest) has gone after a UK citizen who has not committed any crimes but is investigating said citizen.  For what you might ask?  Well it seems like this person was one of the people who got the information about the climate-gate 2.0 emails who as most people realize by now these emails were not obtained illegally.  In that sense, why are the police investigating this in the first place?

The questions about raiding the home of a citizen (of a foreign country no less) who simply received the tip of the information of where these emails were stored (and since the emails are from the UK anyway) is somewhat questionable and leaves one to wonder what the point of this really is.  Why are the police and especially the US Justice Department after an individual who the police have told “is not a person of interest” and is not being investigated?  Why were his computers seized and why is the US Department of Justice behind this in any way?

The answers are not quite clear at this stage in the game, but as the emails revealed did have some relevance behind them to the US Government where certain inviduals who work for the Government in various agencies are implicated in fraud and other nefarious schemes.  But in the end, this person had nothing to do with the release and the only possible link is that this person was given the information as to where the emails information was stored.  To that end, this seems more like a fishing expedition and perhaps is nothing short of harassment that is another example of what the US justice department has become.

My only thought at this stage of the game other than to give links to further information is to ask that perhaps the people who should be investigated are perhaps those in the Government that were proven to be part of fraud and lying?  Why aren’t they being investigated at this time for knowingly and willfully lying to both the people of this country and the country itself?  In any regard, here is the story from a couple different sources:

And something to think about at this point in the game.  There are very big people so far who have been implicated in the 5000 emails released so far.  But there are over 200,000 emails that are hidden in the same package that were encrypted.  The password to release these were never released, so at this point we have no idea how many more people could possibly be implicated at the end of this mess.  As some may say, we have not seen nothing yet.

Keystone Pipeline Expansion dead in the water

Thanks to the Obama administration who instead of thinking about doing the right thing attempted to “appease some of those 5% minorities.”  The project is now dead in the water with 18 months set to complete a scientific study to figure out the effect this would have on the region.  From Canada’s financial minister Flaherty :

The decision to delay it that long is actually quite a crucial decision. I’m not sure this project would survive that kind of delay.”

So obviously the decision to post-pone the decision (kind of ironic) forces the decision anyhow.  So what are the effects of this decision?

What the Endangerment finding really means.

One of the largest issues today is the question of how to regulate greenhouse gases.  Most of the Obama administration’s efforts to do so hinges on the supreme court’s 2007 decision otherwise known as the “endangerment finding”.  This decision unknown to most people did not state that the EPA “must regulate greenhouse gases.”  On the contrary, the decision made no claim in either direction on that particular point.  The decision merely stated that the EPA’s current arguments against stating that GHG’s are not pollution were not valid.  This part of the decision, however, is deeply flawed as well.

Obama: I declare war on the rich, but it is not class warfare.

For anyone listening to the president recently, he seems to like to repeat that lie that his plan “to tax the rich” is not class warfare. I guess the assumption with him is that if he repeats this lie enough times it makes it true and perhaps he is a hero in his own eyes from the novel 1984 where double-speak is normal and where everything done is good by the Government.  Really odd that supposedly a well-educated person could think like this.

What are we supposed to do with a president who is so far from reality that he has no clue what normal Americans deal with?  While the president is giving away barrels of money to solar companies and other cronies, the rest of us have to have a balanced budget that is not in the trillions of dollars.  He will not balance a budget or pay down what is owed like American’s are forced to.  So what do we do?  Well the solution like in 1984 is to put the truth out for the world to see.
